Bent Grass

Measurements:

Culms:
300 - 900 mm tall

Inflorescence:
150 - 400 mm long

Spikelets:
2 - 3 mm long

Leaf blade:
70 - 200 mm long, 2 - 4 mm wide


Description:
A robust grass with knee like bent lower nodes. Inflorencences are 
initially light green but turn a straw colour as it matures, wich makes
identification of the specie quite easy.
Habitat:
Uncommon, found along streams at high altitudes.
Distribution:
Africa: west-central tropical, northeast tropical, east tropical, southern 
tropical, and south. Asia-temperate: Arabia. Antarctic: Subantarctic islands.
Uses:
Not common and therefore a unimportant grazing grass.
