Description:
Also known as rolling three awned grass. Densely tufted perennial. Leaves short, slender, curved. Terminal 
and lateral branches of inflorescence rather long-stalked, spike-like, with dense brownish or purplish spikelets. 
Flowers from October to May
Habitat:
Grows in damp soil, In vleis, overgrazed areas, roadsides and fallow cultivated land. Grows predominantly 
in clay soil.
Distribution:
Mozambique and South Africa
Uses:
Unpalatable grass with hard leaves, Three-awn Rolling Grass becomes prominent in severely degraded 
and over grazed areas.
